Lloyd’s former career in journalism led him to travel extensively throughout Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East and the Caribbean. His work garnered many awards including a National Association of Black Journalists Award in the category of International Reporting for a five-part series on South Africa and the Houston Area Urban League’s Communicator of the Year Award.  He has also been honored as the National Black MBA Communicator of the Year.

Gite combines an innate sense of style with a keen design sensibility to enhance interiors with contemporary African art.  Following an evaluation of a designated space, he makes expert recommendations for artwork that bring a space to life.
